AI as a supporting tool in ops
AI is not a solution. It is a tool that reduces manual work in specific contexts.
Deterministic logic and explicit rules come first. AI is used only where it improves clarity or reduces repetitive effort without introducing risk.
It does not replace business logic or decision-making.
Where AI is used
- Cleaning and normalizing inbound data
- Classifying leads or requests before routing
- Extracting structured data from unstructured inputs
- Assisting with deduplication or anomaly detection
- Supporting internal documentation or tooling
Where AI is not used
- Core business logic
- Financial or compliance-critical decisions
- Anything requiring full determinism or auditability
- Replacing human ownership of workflows
These areas require reliability, clarity, and full control. AI introduces uncertainty that is not acceptable in these contexts.
How this fits into my work
- Async only
- Written scope
- Deterministic workflows first
- AI only when it improves clarity or reduces manual effort
- No meetings or calls
